I’ve just returned from an incredible trip to Turkey. I visited Istanbul and Izmir, and both cities were amazing in their own ways. Istanbul is a bustling metropolis with a rich history, while Izmir is a more laid-back city with beautiful beaches.

Regardless of which city you’re in, Turkey is a country that has something for everyone. In Istanbul, I was blown away by the architecture and the sheer size of the city.

The Blue Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque, Galata Tower and Hagia Sophia, Princes Island are must-see sights, and the Grand Bazaar is a shopper’s paradise.

But my favorite part of Istanbul was simply walking around and taking in the sights and sounds of the city. There’s so much to see and do in Istanbul that you could easily spend weeks there and still not see everything.

Izmir was a nice change of pace after the hustle and bustle of Istanbul.

The beaches here are absolutely stunning, and there’s plenty of delicious seafood to be had. In addition to relaxing on the beach, I also enjoyed exploring some of the nearby ancient ruins such as Ephesus.

I visited Turkey for the first time last week and I absolutely loved it! I started my trip in Istanbul, where I spent 15 days exploring all of the city's amazing sights. From the Topkapi Palace to the Blue Mosque, Galata Tower, Suleymaniye Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Princes Island there is so much to see and do in Istanbul.

After a few days in Istanbul, I took a bus down to Izmir. Izmir is a beautiful coastal city with incredible beaches and views. I spent a few days relaxing by the water and enjoying the sunny weather.

Overall, I had an incredible time in Turkey and I can't wait to go back!

What is There to See between Istanbul And Izmir?

There are many things to see between Istanbul and Izmir. One could visit the city of Bursa, which was once the capital of the Ottoman Empire. Or one could explore the ruins of Troy, a city that was destroyed in mythological times.

There are also several beaches along the coast that are worth visiting.

Is Izmir Better Than Istanbul?

How Long is the Train Ride from Istanbul to Izmir?

How Much Does It Cost from Istanbul to Izmir?
